One of the best Lumpiang Sariwa I ever tasted except for my mother's recipe is the one served at Goldilocks (One of the best bakeshops in the Philippines).

I had this recipe of Lumpiang Sariwa which I've been cooking for years now. My husband says it's very good and really healthy meal. This specific dish is made of stir-fried vegetables with shrimp or pork and roll in a wrapper (Spring Roll Wrapper). It is then topped with sweet sauce, minced peanuts and garlic. Some serve this as appetizer while others can have it for main course with boiled rice.

Lumpiang Sariwa

Ingredients:

200 grams pork (cut in small pieces) (or shrimp or both)
8 cloves garlic (minced)
1 medium onion (sliced)
1 medium carrot (sliced)
1 medium sweet potato (sliced)
200 grams green beans (sliced)
1/2 of sweetheart cabbage (sliced)
1 Chinese Leaves
1 Pack Spring Roll Wrapper
1/4 cup peanut (minced)
2 teaspoon fish sauce
2 tablespoons sunflower oil or vegetable oil
salt and pepper to taste

For Sweet Sauce:
8 tablespoons white or brown sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons corn flour
1 cup water

Cooking Procedures:

Heat the oil in a wok or any large pan (large enough for all the ingredients).
Sauté pork or shrimp until brown and then set it aside.
Stir-fry the garlic, onion, carrot, green beans, sweet potato, and cabbage.
Add the fish sauce and a dash of pepper.
Cook the vegetables the way you want it. (I prefer half-cook for more crunchy bites.)
Let it cool.
Put a piece of chinese leaf and 3-4 tablespoons of cooked veggies on each
wrapper and roll it as shown above.
Pour the sweet sauce over and topped with garlic and peanuts.
Serve with rice if you prefer or you can eat it as is.

Sweet Sauce Cooking Procedures:

Dissolve the corn flour and sugar in a cup of water and put on a stove in medium heat.
Stir it constantly to avoid clumps.
Add the soy sauce and keep on stirring until you achieve the consistency you want.
